@virtualbri@ Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for continuity. But yeah, no one wants to watch a modern show with shoe polish Klingons and Halloween costume Gorn. Shows have to adapt to stay relevant. Same thing with the timeline why would people be mad the timeline getting fixed to be not provably wrong?

@mikey@friendsofdesoto.social@virtualbri@mastodon.online@ Honestly the SNW folks have done an absolutely masterclass in how to balance continuity with updated visuals and storytelling. Season 1 of Discovery was a really harsh reintroduction to that era of canon but SNW has gotten the mix just right.
